Amsterdam, October 9, 2026. Imperum, the Autonomous SOC Platform for the Full Attack Lifecycle, today announced that it has been named as a Sample Vendor for Agentic AI for Security in Emerging Tech Impact Radar: AI Cybersecurity Ecosystem, published by Gartner on 5 October 2026. The Agentic AI for Security profile is authored by Alfredo Ramirez IV.

What the report covers

The report covers 22 emerging technologies and trends across three themes: Securing AI (Engineering), Securing AI (Runtime), and Applied AI in Security. Its scope includes both protecting AI systems and applying AI to cybersecurity tasks.

Imperum is included in the Agentic AI for Security profile, which Gartner defines as: “Agentic AI for security is the use of semiautonomous or autonomous multiagent systems that augment the cybersecurity workforce.”

This is the area Imperum addresses through its Autonomous SOC platform: using AI agents to carry out investigation work across connected security tools, with evidence available for review and human approval for high-impact actions.

Moving from AI assistance to investigation work

For Imperum, the purpose of agentic AI is not simply to generate another summary or recommendation. It is to perform the work needed to reach a supported conclusion.

An Imperum investigation can start with an alert, retrieve relevant history, gather evidence from connected tools, evaluate the findings and prepare response actions. The analyst can follow the investigation and control how far the agent is permitted to proceed. This connects the work across the security stack rather than leaving analysts to collect and reconcile every result manually.

The distinction is practical. A security team should be able to see which sources were consulted, what evidence supports the verdict and which actions require approval. An automated conclusion should remain open to review, rather than becoming a decision the team cannot inspect or challenge.

Trust is part of the adoption challenge

The report places Agentic AI for Security in the one-to-three-year adoption range, stating: “The range for agentic AI for security is one to three years away because market adoption is contingent upon vendors proving system reliability and transparency to meet trust requirements for the early majority.”

Imperum’s approach is to introduce autonomy through explicit controls. Teams can review recommendations without executing response actions, approve individual investigation steps, or permit allowed actions within defined risk thresholds. High-impact actions still pause for approval.

Learning from previous decisions follows a controlled process too. Virtus Cerebrum uses analyst outcomes and AI triage verdicts to train per-tenant models. Validation gates and shadow evaluation precede production use, while automated closure is restricted by evidence requirements, rule allow-lists and daily caps. Eligible cases can then be handled locally without another LLM call.

What the inclusion means for Imperum

The listing identifies Imperum among the Sample Vendors in the report’s Agentic AI for Security profile. It is not a vendor ranking or a product endorsement.

For teams evaluating Imperum, the next step is to examine the technology against their own operational needs. Start with a real investigation: review the evidence collected, the reasoning presented, the approval boundaries and the work that remains with the analyst. Then assess performance and cost against the organisation’s own traffic and procedures.

Imperum’s focus is on making that evaluation possible through visible workflows and controlled adoption. The goal is to expand investigation capacity while keeping security teams responsible for the decisions that matter. Explore Imperum’s Autonomous SOC platform and see an investigation in action.
